Gravitropism isn't too uncommon in the fungi kingdom, but it's exciting to see such a large living shelf exhibit the behavior. This thing was HUGE. Unlike Ganoderma, Phellinus robiniae (which grows on locust aka Robinia) has an rustier coloration like its relatives in the Hymenochataceae family. One of those relatives is called Mustard-Yellow Polypore for its mustard-to-rusty interior, but really they all have the same interior color.
