I found this Hygrocybe cf. minitula in a pine grove, after I stopped to inspect some crabapples (which was another surprise find!). I'm not sure what species the crabapples were, but this guy I recognized right away, sitting pretty in the moss like a bright little orange king. The trees and blades of grass in the background made for some amazing bokeh.
